In response to the relentless downpour and severe flooding in Andhra Pradesh, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has urged state officials to enhance their relief efforts. He emphasized the importance of supplying food and necessities to flood victims, particularly in heavily affected areas like Vijayawada.

CM Naidu has been personally inspecting flood-ravaged zones and collecting real-time feedback from residents using the Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS). He emphasized the urgent need to address the widespread distress, noting that snakes and scorpions had even infiltrated upper floors of homes.

The state government has mobilized extensive resources, including five helicopters, to deliver food and rescue stranded individuals. So far, 6.4 lakh people have been affected, and nearly 44,041 are taking refuge in 190 relief camps.
