The Delhi High Court on Monday declined to quash the defamation case against Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and other AAP leaders concerning their remarks on the alleged deletion of 30 lakh voters' names.
Justice Anoop Kumar Mendiratta noted that the statements appeared to be prima facie defamatory with the intent of defaming the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and gaining political advantage.
The court ordered Kejriwal and others to appear before the trial court on October 3, stating that political entities should not engage in mud-slinging.
