Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday communicated with Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy to discuss the flood situation exacerbated by continuous heavy rainfall in the state.
The Chief Minister briefed PM Modi on the extensive damage and the relief measures being undertaken by the state government. Specific emphasis was placed on Khammam district, which has faced significant losses.
In response, PM Modi assured that helicopters capable of operating in adverse weather conditions would be dispatched for rescue operations. Additionally, he promised all necessary aid to support the state's relief efforts. Notably, nine people have died in separate rain-related incidents, with heavy rains continuing to affect many parts of Telangana, including Hyderabad.
