On his arrival, PM Modi received a ceremonial welcome and expressed his gratitude to Crown Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah for the warm reception.

"Landed in Brunei Darussalam. Looking forward to strong ties between our nations, especially in boosting commercial and cultural linkages. I thank Crown Prince His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah for welcoming me at the airport," PM Modi expressed in a post on X. He was greeted by the Indian diaspora, and an endearing moment unfolded as a young girl showed him a painting featuring the Tricolour and themselves. The gathering, waving the Indian flag, cheered for the Prime Minister, who reciprocated their enthusiasm.

The Ministry of External Affairs highlighted the significance of Brunei as a key partner in India's 'Act East' Policy and Indo-Pacific Vision. The release emphasized the historical, cultural, and traditional ties linking the two nations.
