A suspect was detained after assaulting a group of Jewish students at the University of Pittsburgh, according to a university statement.
Two students received on-site medical attention for injuries inflicted by the attacker with a bottle, near the Cathedral of Learning on campus.
The suspect, whose identity remains undisclosed and has no known affiliation with Pitt, was promptly arrested by campus police. No charges have been declared yet.
University officials have been in touch with local Jewish organizations and assured that no further threat exists. Counseling services have been made available to those affected. The investigation continues with support from local and federal partners.
