Israel's military reported on Saturday the deaths of two individuals in separate incidents in the occupied West Bank. The first incident involved a person infiltrating an Israeli settlement, while the second saw an assailant fire at soldiers following his car's explosion.
According to the military, two men were wounded by gunshots in these incidents, although their identities have not been disclosed. The military noted that one attacker attempted to overrun a security guard at the community entrance to Karmei Tzur, an Israeli settlement, prompting a military response.
In the second incident, a vehicle caught fire and exploded at a gas station, leading to the military's intervention and the subsequent killing of the suspected assailant. The military states it is still too soon to establish any connections between these incidents. Violence in the West Bank has seen a recent increase, intensifying amid the ongoing war in Gaza.
