President Joseph R. Biden, Jr. will participate in the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York City from September 23 to 25. According to Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, Biden plans to address the assembly on September 24, covering his administration's priorities and vision for international cooperation focusing on addressing global threats, promoting economic prosperity, and upholding human rights.

While in New York, Biden will engage with various world leaders to discuss enhancing global security and advancing mutual goals. These conversations will span a wide array of topics, including global peace efforts, economic stability, and the protection of human rights. This aligns with the Biden administration's commitment to strengthening international partnerships and tackling global challenges.

Biden's participation in the UN Assembly follows his announcement of the fourth in-person Quad Leaders' Summit, scheduled for September 21 in Wilmington, Delaware. The summit will bring together leaders from Australia, India, and Japan to reinforce strategic cooperation. The key agenda items include promoting a free and open Indo-Pacific region and addressing health security, maritime security, and climate change.

Press Secretary Jean-Pierre emphasized the significance of the Quad Summit, noting that it will be Biden's first time hosting foreign leaders in Wilmington. "This event highlights President Biden's strong personal connections with each of the Quad Leaders and underscores the strategic importance of the Quad nations," she stated. The summit is part of the Biden-Harris Administration's ongoing commitment to the Quad, building on the first-ever White House summit in 2021 and subsequent annual meetings.

With India set to host the next Quad Summit, the outcomes from these discussions aim to enhance strategic alignment among Quad nations and address crucial regional and global challenges.
