Police Crack Down on Abduction and Murder Case in Jharkhand
Jharkhand police solved the abduction and murder case of a 57-year-old quack, Brihaspati Mandal, by arresting three suspects. They demanded a ransom, murdered Mandal, and dumped his body. The police also seized the vehicle used and the murder weapon. Meanwhile, in Ramgarh, four individuals were arrested for extortion.

Jharkhand police have made significant progress in solving the abduction and murder case of 57-year-old Brihaspati Mandal in Seraikela-Kharswan district. On Friday, three suspects were arrested in connection with the crime.
According to a senior police officer, the suspects demanded a ransom of Rs 20 lakh and subsequently strangled Mandal, a resident of Chota Sijulta village. The body was then disposed of on a roadside near Sukarbhalki village in East Singhbhum district, around 34 kilometers from the crime scene.
Superintendent of Police Mukesh Kumar Lunayat confirmed the arrests and said that the Seraikela-Kharswan police, with assistance from their counterparts in East Singhbhum, apprehended three individuals in their mid-20s. The police also impounded the car used in the crime and recovered the traditional towel used for strangulation.
The Indian Medical Association, Jamshedpur Chapter, clarified that Mandal was not a qualified doctor, although his son is a dentist. In a separate incident, a police team led by Sub-Divisional Police Officer Birendra Kumar arrested four individuals in Ramgarh for attempting to extort money from a contractor. The raid resulted in the recovery of two motorcycles and 14 Android mobile phones.
