Maharashtra Man Faces Charges for Allegedly Harassing Daughter

Police have opened a case against a 64-year-old man in Maharashtra's Thane district on allegations of sexually harassing his 18-year-old daughter, an official said Thursday.
The daughter filed a complaint stating that on July 5, her father forced her to have sexual relations when they were alone in the house. Upon her refusal, he allegedly touched her inappropriately and assaulted her, said the Vartak Nagar police station official.
Multiple incidents followed, leading the victim to approach the police on Wednesday. An FIR was filed under sections 74, 75(2), and 115(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. Authorities are currently investigating the matter.
