Delhi High Court Grants Ex-WFI Chief Two Weeks for Plea in Sexual Harassment Case
The Delhi High Court has given ex-WFI chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh two weeks to prepare contentions for quashing the FIR and charges in a sexual harassment case filed by multiple women wrestlers. The court questioned the validity of a single petition challenging multiple proceedings and stated that an 'omnibus order' was not feasible.

The Delhi High Court has provided former Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) chief, Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, a two-week extension to file contentions for quashing a sexual harassment case against him. The case was lodged by several women wrestlers.
Justice Neena Bansal Krishna allotted the time and scheduled the next hearing for September 26. Senior advocate Rebecca John, representing the victims, argued that the petition lacked merit and noted that only five out of six complaints led to charges, indicating thoughtful deliberation by the trial court.
Singh's counsel, Advocate Rajiv Mohan, claimed political motivations behind the allegations. However, the court asserted that the petition must address each proceeding separately and dismissed Singh's plea for broad quashing of charges.
