Government officials have strengthened the security apparatus for RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat in light of recent threat assessments by federal intelligence agencies, sources confirmed on Wednesday.
The 73-year-old Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) leader now enjoys Z-plus category protection from an armed VIP unit of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) covering him across the nation.
Sources revealed that the Advance Security Liaison (ASL) method, previously inconsistently applied, will now be a compulsory protocol for Bhagwat's visits, ensuring thorough venue reconnaissance by CISF's special security group, local police, and administrative officials.
