Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Monday condemned Russia's overnight and early morning barrage on his country as "vile" and said it involved over 100 missiles of various types and about 100 "Shahed" drones.
Ukraine's leader announced multiple casualties and significant damage to the nation's energy sector, marking the attack as one of the most extensive in recent weeks. Emergency power cuts have been implemented by the state-owned power grid operator, Ukrenergo.
President Zelenskyy called on Ukraine's allies to supply long-range weapons, stressing the need to eliminate launch sites within Russia to halt the relentless shelling.
