Omar Abdullah, the National Conference Vice President, has urged for a reconsideration of travel advisories pertaining to Jammu and Kashmir in an effort to ease existing restrictions on travel to the region.
During a meeting with US diplomats at his Gupkar residence, Abdullah discussed several issues, with an emphasis on the need to amend current travel advisories. He was accompanied by NC MP Aga Syed Ruhullah Mehdi and other senior party members.
Abdullah invited the US diplomats to visit Kashmir with their families as a gesture to encourage international tourism. This move, he believes, will also inspire confidence among other tourists, promoting Kashmir as a safe and attractive destination.
