He derided Russia's Vladimir Putin, labeling him a 'sick old man from Red Square,' as Ukraine marked 33 years of post-Soviet independence.

Zelenskiy emphasized Palianytsia's superior speed and power compared to previously used domestically made drones, indicating its role in a successful strike against Russia. Additionally, he urged Ukraine's allies to facilitate the use of Western weapons deeper into Russian territory.

On the same day, Zelenskiy promoted Colonel General Oleksandr Syrskyi to general and ratified the Rome Statute, a step toward EU membership. He also signed legislation banning religious groups linked to Russia, aiming to cut further ties amidst the ongoing conflict.
