On Saturday, a Delhi court extended the judicial custody of Bibhav Kumar, an aide to Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, until September 13. Kumar is accused of assaulting Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Rajya Sabha MP Maliwal on May 13 at the Chief Minister's official residence.

Judicial Magistrate Gaurav Goyal made the decision after Kumar was produced via video conferencing. The magistrate also requested a response from the investigation officer regarding Kumar's plea, which seeks proper pagination of the chargesheet and associated documents for his defense.

Kumar's counsel, Rajat Bhardwaj, emphasized that the documentation needed to be organized for effective argument in court. The Delhi Police have filed a 500-page final report against Kumar, citing various provisions of the Indian Penal Code, including sections 201, 308, 341, 354, 354 B, 506, and 509.
