The Maha Vikas Aghadi, an opposition alliance, staged a protest in Latur on Saturday over the sexual assault of two girls at a school in Badlapur, Thane district.
Participants from Congress, Shiv Sena (UBT), and NCP (SP) wore black arm bands and masks covering their mouths, gathering at Rajarshi Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Chowk.
They raised slogans against both state and Union governments, calling for concrete measures to address crimes against women. The planned 'Maharashtra bandh' was called off after the Bombay High Court restricted it.
