Italian rescue divers have recovered the body of the last person missing following the sinking of British tech magnate Mike Lynch's yacht, the Bayesian, off the coast of Sicily. The body is believed to be that of his daughter, Hannah Lynch, a source close to the matter reported.

On Monday, the luxury sailboat, carrying 22 passengers and crew, capsized and rapidly sank after being struck by a pre-dawn storm while anchored near Palermo. The wreck, currently lying at a depth of 50 metres, presented a challenging recovery for the divers, involving over 400 personnel, including 28 specialist divers.

The bodies of five other passengers and one crew member were previously retrieved. A judicial investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the sinking, which marine experts find inexplicable given the robust construction of the yacht. Salvage operation costs are estimated at up to €15 million.
