Two women fell unconscious in a stampede-like situation outside a nationalised bank in Nandurbar district. The incident occurred as more than 100 people gathered to submit documents for Maharashtra's 'Majhi Ladki Bahin' scheme, police reported on Friday.

The chaotic scene unfolded outside a State Bank of India branch in Dhadgaon around 1 pm. Most of the individuals present were women who had arrived early in the morning to complete the e-KYC process for the aid scheme.

A rush ensued in the afternoon, leading to the two women fainting. Police rushed to the scene, and the women received medical treatment. Many had travelled 20 to 30 kilometers from tribal villages to participate in the scheme, which offers Rs 1,500 monthly assistance to eligible women.
