A Delhi court has mandated the city police to urgently reinstate the security of a female wrestler who has alleged sexual harassment by former Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) chief, Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh.
The interim order was issued by Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Priyanka Rajpoot, emphasizing the need for the wrestler's security as she is scheduled to provide her statement in court on Friday.
This directive follows the claim by senior advocate Rebecca John that security was withdrawn for three wrestlers the previous night. The court has asked the police to submit a detailed report by Friday explaining the reasons for this withdrawal.
