Sanjay Roy, the accused arrest for the rape and murder of a woman doctor at RG Kar Medical College, has been described in his psychoanalytic profile as a pervert severely addicted to pornography, a CBI officer disclosed on Thursday. According to doctors from New Delhi's Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL), Roy, a civic volunteer with the Kolkata Police, demonstrated 'animal-like instincts.'

The victim's body was discovered in the hospital's seminar room on August 9, and Roy was apprehended the next day. The CBI officer noted that Roy showed no remorse, openly providing detailed accounts of the crime. Seized mobile phone data revealed extensive pornographic content. Initially managed by the Kolkata Police, the investigation was transferred to the CBI based on a Calcutta High Court order.

CCTV footage confirms Roy's presence near the crime scene at crucial times, which is supported by both technical and scientific evidence. However, the officer refrained from commenting on DNA test results or speculations regarding gangrape. The CBI has visited Roy's Bhowanipore residence, conducted interviews with his family, neighbors, and colleagues from the police force.
