The tragic incident occurred on Wednesday morning in P&T Colony, as reported by the Manpada police station.
Seema Farsole was lighting a lamp when the fire spread to her gown. She sustained severe burn injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared her dead on arrival. A case of accidental death has been registered, and an investigation is underway, the official said.
