Major Drug Bust: Mizoram Police Seize Huge Cache of Heroin and Methamphetamine
Mizoram police confiscated over 2 kg of heroin and 50,500 Methamphetamine tablets valued at Rs 1.5 crore in Champhai district. Two individuals were arrested in connection with the seizure. A police team discovered the narcotics while conducting a random check on a vehicle near New Hruaikawn village.

Mizoram police have successfully seized a substantial quantity of narcotics, including over 2 kg of heroin and 50,500 Methamphetamine tablets, worth approximately Rs 1.5 crore in the Champhai district, according to an official statement.
The arrest of two individuals followed this significant haul. The suspects, identified as David Rosangliana (30) and Lawmsangzuala (27), were apprehended during a routine vehicle check on the outskirts of New Hruaikawn village.
The intercepted vehicle yielded 2.5 kg of heroin valued at Rs 76.7 lakh and 5.7 kg of Methamphetamine worth Rs 74.6 lakh. The case has been registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, and further investigations are underway.
