A doctor in Thane has been booked for allegedly inappropriately touching a 22-year-old female patient, according to police reports released on Thursday.

Dr. Abdul Kuddus, from the Shil-Phata area, is accused of misbehaving with the patient under the pretext of a medical examination at his clinic on August 20, an official stated.

The charges filed against him fall under sections 74 (assault or use of criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty) and 76 (assault or use of criminal force to woman with intent to disrobe) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, added an official from Shil-Daighar police station.
