Bihar Police Constable Exam: Arrests and Allegations of Malpractices

Five candidates were arrested and cases were registered against three others for alleged malpractices during the Bihar police constable recruitment exam. One candidate was expelled due to discrepancies in documents. The exams, started on August 7, will continue until August 28 with 17.87 lakh candidates expected to appear.

Five candidates were arrested across Bihar on Wednesday for alleged malpractices during the state police constable recruitment exam, according to an official statement.

The state police additionally registered cases against three other candidates for engaging in fraudulent activities during the examination. One candidate was expelled from a Patna center over document discrepancies.

Among those arrested were two from Bhagalpur and one each from Begusarai, Saharsa, and Nalanda. Conducted by the Central Selection Board of Constables (CSBC), the exams aim to fill over 21,391 vacancies and will run from August 7 to August 28 with an estimated 17.87 lakh candidates expected to appear.
