Maharashtra DGP Shukla Vows Justice in Badlapur School Assault Case

In response to the alleged sexual assault of two girls at a school in Badlapur, Maharashtra DGP Rashmi Shukla reaffirmed the police force's dedication to ensuring public safety and security.
Through the official X handle @DGPMaharashtra, DGP Shukla assured the public that the investigation is being conducted with utmost diligence.
''We will leave no stone unturned in delivering justice to innocent children and their families,'' Shukla emphasized.
The DGP highlighted the formation of a Special Investigation Team (SIT), led by senior IPS officer Arti Singh, to expedite the investigation process.
The offender has been apprehended, and steps are underway to file a charge sheet for a fast-track trial, with notable lawyer Ujjwal Nikam appointed as Special Public Prosecutor.
Opposition leader Ambadas Danve and Shiv Sena (UBT's) women wing members met DGP Shukla, demanding stringent action against the accused. Earlier, a local court extended police custody of the accused till August 26 amid tight security.
