A Thane court has placed a 38-year-old man, identified as Satish Kumar Sharma, in police custody until August 23 after he deliberately crashed his car into his father's SUV. The violent incident, fueled by a domestic dispute, resulted in injuries to four individuals, three of whom were family members.
According to officials, the altercation began when Sharma suspected his cousin Pravin of having an illicit affair with his wife, leading to a series of arguments. This culminated in Sharma ramming his vehicle into his father's SUV on the Kalyan-Badlapur road.
Footage of the incident shows Sharma's black SUV repeatedly crashing into the white SUV, heightening the charges against him to include attempted murder under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. The accused was subsequently arrested and appeared in court on Wednesday.
