Man Arrested for Alleged Sexual Assault on Toddler in Telangana

A 30-year-old painter from Uttar Pradesh has been arrested for allegedly raping a three-year-old girl in Siddipet district, Telangana. The incident occurred on August 19, when the accused took the girl from her family under the pretense of play. The girl's grandfather intervened upon hearing her cries. The accused is now in judicial custody and the girl is stable in the hospital.

A 30-year-old man from Uttar Pradesh has been arrested for allegedly raping a three-year-old girl in Telangana's Siddipet district, according to police reports on Wednesday.

The suspect, a painter from Gorakhpur, UP, allegedly assaulted the girl on August 19 in a room of an under-construction apartment. He had taken her from her family members under the guise of playing, as he was on the site for painting work, police added.

The girl's grandfather, who works as a watchman and lives with his family in the same apartment building, rushed to her aid upon hearing her cries. A complaint was filed with the Siddipet police, who promptly moved the girl to a hospital for medical attention.

The case was registered, leading to the arrest of the suspect on August 20, and he has been remanded in judicial custody. The girl is currently stable and receiving treatment.
