Ukraine's forces have made significant advances in Russia's Kursk region, covering a distance of 28-35 kilometers, according to the country's army chief. In response, Moscow is redeploying troops from other areas to strengthen its positions in Kursk.
In a briefing on national television, Oleksandr Syrskyi revealed that Russia is also sending additional troops to the eastern Pokrovsk region, which has been the scene of the fiercest fighting recently.
The battle for control continues to escalate as Russia's invasion enters its two-and-half-year mark, with both sides facing intense military engagements.
