Authorities in Istanbul have initiated a large-scale investigation after a Palestinian man was fatally shot and two others injured while seated in a car. The attackers used a handgun fitted with a silencer, according to a statement from the Istanbul Governor's Office.
The Demiroren News Agency reported that the individual in the driver's seat succumbed to his injuries, while his friend, described as a businessman, was seriously wounded. A bodyguard, seated in the back, sustained injuries to his foot.
The incident, carried out by masked assailants, took place on Dilaver Street in the Kagithane district late Sunday. Images from the scene showed a semi-automatic handgun next to a white car riddled with bullet holes, indicating a targeted attack.
