In a significant security breach, a young man in his early 20s scaled the wall and entered the Parliament Annexe building premises Friday afternoon, official sources confirmed.

A video showing the suspect, dressed in shorts and a T-shirt, being detained by armed CISF personnel has surfaced. Frisking revealed nothing incriminating.

The man, identified as Manish from Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, was handed over to Delhi Police. The CISF, responsible for parliamentary security, noticed the intrusion around 2:45 pm and made a PCR call. Local police swiftly arrived and took the man for questioning.

A senior Delhi Police officer stated, 'We are investigating how he scaled the wall and entered the premises.' CCTV footage is being reviewed. The man appears to be mentally unstable, as per officials.

This incident echoes a similar breach on the anniversary of the 2001 Parliament attack, accentuating ongoing security concerns. Post the December 13 breach, Delhi Police and CRPF were removed from internal security duties, which are now managed by the CISF.
