The Bihar government enacted a significant bureaucratic reshuffle on Sunday, reassigning several high-ranking IAS officers across various departments.

According to an official notification, Kumar Ravi, Patna's Commissioner and a 2005-batch IAS officer, has been appointed as the secretary of the Chief Minister Secretariat. He will be succeeded by Mayank Warwade, currently the commissioner of the Magadh Division. Magistrate of Gaya, Thyagarajan S M, a 2011-batch IAS officer, has been given additional responsibilities as the commissioner of the Magadh Division. Additionally, Pankaj Kumar Pal, the Rural Development Department Secretary, has been assigned additional duties as the chairman-cum-managing director of the Bihar State Power Holding Company Ltd.

The Environment, Forest, and Climate Change (DEFCC) Secretary, Bandana Preyashi, has been entrusted with the responsibility of overseeing the Industries department. In a further move, Sandeep Poundrik, a 1993-batch IAS officer of the Bihar cadre, has received clearance for central deputation. He previously served as the additional chief secretary of the Industries department.
