The Supreme Court on Friday granted bail to senior Aam Aadmi Party leader Manish Sisodia in the ongoing corruption and money laundering cases tied to the Delhi excise policy scam.
Following a protracted legal battle, Sisodia was first arrested by the CBI on February 26, 2023, and subsequently by the Enforcement Directorate on March 9, 2023, for his alleged involvement in the scam.
Despite multiple rejections of his bail pleas by various courts, including the trial court and the Delhi High Court, the Supreme Court finally agreed to hear Sisodia's case in July 2024 and granted him bail on August 9, 2024.
