In a crucial ruling, the Supreme Court has granted bail to AAP leader Manish Sisodia, marking what Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann described as a 'victory of truth.'

Sisodia, embroiled in corruption and money laundering cases stemming from the controversial Delhi excise policy scam, had been held in custody for 17 months.

The apex court noted the prolonged custody and the fact that the trial had not yet commenced, thereby depriving Sisodia of his right to a speedy trial.
