U.S. Judge Dismisses Majority of Mexico's $10B Gun Lawsuit
A U.S. judge has dismissed most of Mexico's $10 billion lawsuit against U.S. gun manufacturers for allegedly facilitating gun trafficking to drug cartels. The decision, made by District Judge Dennis Saylor, affects six of the eight companies named in the 2021 lawsuit due to jurisdictional issues.

A U.S. judge on Wednesday dismissed a significant portion of Mexico's $10 billion lawsuit, aimed at holding American gun manufacturers accountable for enabling firearms trafficking to violent drug cartels across the U.S.-Mexico border.
U.S. District Judge Dennis Saylor in Boston dismissed the claims against six of the eight companies Mexico had targeted in 2021, including major names like Sturm, Ruger and Glock, citing jurisdictional problems.
The ruling leaves only two companies still facing claims in the controversial lawsuit.
