British Man Jailed for Violent Disorder During Anti-Muslim Riots

Derek Drummond, a 58-year-old British man, has been sentenced to three years in prison for his involvement in violent disorder during anti-Muslim riots following the tragic killing of three girls in Southport.

The sentence was handed down by Liverpool Crown Court, with Judge Andrew Menary condemning the actions that hijacked the genuine grief of Southport residents. Drummond also faced charges for assaulting an emergency worker by punching a police officer.

In related cases, Declan Geiran received a 30-month sentence for violent disorder and arson, while Liam Riley was jailed for 20 months after pleading guilty to violent disorder and a racially-aggravated public order offence.
