Escalating Conflict: Airstrike on Gaza Tent Encampment
At least 14 Palestinians were killed in an Israeli airstrike on a tent encampment in Khan Younis, Gaza. The strike, targeting a Hamas command center, led to significant casualties and damage. The ongoing conflict, which began on Oct. 7, continues to displace Gaza residents and result in high fatalities on both sides.

At least 14 Palestinians died in an Israeli airstrike on a tent encampment in Khan Younis, Gaza, early Tuesday, according to medics and Hamas media. The Israeli military reported that the strike targeted a Hamas command center.
The encampment in the Al-Mawasi area, designated a humanitarian zone, was hit by at least four missiles. Over 20 tents caught fire, and craters as deep as 30 feet were created. Gaza civil emergency officials described the event as a 'new Israeli massacre.'
The ongoing conflict, ignited on Oct. 7 by a Hamas attack killing 1,200 Israelis and taking 250 hostages, continues to see high casualties. Subsequent Israeli assaults have resulted in over 40,900 Palestinian deaths. Both sides blame each other for the failure to achieve a ceasefire.
