A Delhi court on Tuesday deferred the decision on whether to take cognisance of the charge sheet filed by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) against Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal related to an alleged excise policy scam.
Special Judge Kaveri Baweja scheduled the matter for August 12, citing that the CBI has yet to provide the supporting documents for the charge sheet.
The CBI concluded its investigation on Monday, filing its final charge sheet in the case involving Kejriwal, former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, Telangana MLC K Kavitha, and others, alleging significant kickbacks and policy manipulation.
