The Rajasthan government has granted prosecution approval in 11 cases against officers of the administrative service over the last eight months, according to Parliamentary Affairs Minister Jogaram Patel. He informed the assembly of this development on Thursday.

Patel assured that serious efforts are being made to ensure the swift disposal of all cases pending prosecution approval. He shared these insights while responding to questions during the assembly's Question Hour.

Currently, 18 cases against administrative service officers are awaiting prosecution approval. These cases span various years, with one from 2018, another from 2019, three from 2021, five from 2022, six from 2023, and two from this year, he said. Patel attributed the delays to various reasons.

Earlier, in a written reply to a question from BJP MLA Atul Bhansali, Patel noted that a total of 18 cases against IAS, IPS, RAS, and RPS officers are still pending prosecution sanction. He also presented the specific case details before the House.
