In a catastrophic incident, a fire at Rajkot's TRP Game Zone claimed 27 lives in May. The blaze, exacerbated by inflammable construction materials and welding sparks, engulfed the entire structure within minutes, according to the crime branch's extensive charge sheet filed on Wednesday.

The charge sheet, spanning over one lakh pages, implicates 15 individuals, including the facility's co-owners and Rajkot Municipal Corporation (RMC) officials. They face charges that could lead to a 10-year jail term.

Among the accused are the game zone's co-owners Dhawal Thakkar, Yuvrajsinh Solanki, Rahul Rathod, Nitin Lodha, Ashok Jadeja, and Kiritsinh Jadeja, as well as welding contractor Mahesh Rathod. RMC officials involved include Town Planning Officer M D Sagathia and others. Financial audits and forensic examinations are part of the ongoing investigation.
