Odisha Land Allotment Controversy: BJD Denies BJP's Claims

The government of Odisha will investigate reported irregularities in the land allocation for the construction of the BJD’s state headquarters. Revenue Minister Suresh Pujari has confirmed the probe, while the opposition BJD, led by Naveen Patnaik, has denied the allegations, claiming political intolerance by the BJP.

An investigation is underway by the Odisha government into alleged land allotment irregularities for BJD's state headquarters, Sankha Bhavan, in the state capital, according to Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Suresh Pujari.

The BJD, led by former Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, dismissed the claims, accusing the BJP government of intolerance. Senior vice-president Debi Prasad Mishra stated that their land acquisition was compliant with regulations.

Minister Pujari stated that all involved in any wrongdoing would face consequences. Countering this, BJD's Pranab Prakash Das asserted that the land allotment followed proper procedures, with no rules bypassed.
