BJD president Naveen Patnaik has made a clarion call to the women of Odisha, urging them to expose the 'lies' propagated by the BJP. During the BMJD meeting's concluding session, he emphasized his party's devotion to empowering women and increasing their roles in the party.
Patnaik criticized the BJP's failure to deliver on promises such as the Subhadra Yojana, intended to provide Rs 50,000 financial assistance to women, but now stretched over five years. He also pointed out unmet pre-election promises, like 300 units of free electricity, indicating a betrayal of public trust.
The BJP countered Patnaik's claims, arguing that he is fearful of losing female voter support. They also highlighted rising violence against women under the BJD's governance, despite efforts to combat such crimes. Meanwhile, Patnaik advocated for collective actions to create a safer environment for women and called for their greater participation and representation in legislative bodies.
