In a compelling statement, Samajwadi Party MP Maulana Mohibullah Nadvi called on India to leverage its humanitarian legacy to mediate and end the ongoing conflicts in Gaza and Ukraine. During an interaction with PTI editors, Nadvi highlighted India's historical role in opposing oppression, drawing parallels to the stances taken by Mahatma Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru.

Nadvi criticized the global community for ignoring the suffering of Palestinians in Gaza, urging India to intervene not only in Gaza but also in Ukraine. He praised India as a beacon of humanitarian values, capable of setting a precedent for peace through mediation.

India has reiterated its position at the UN, calling for de-escalation, a full ceasefire, and unrestricted access to humanitarian aid in the Gaza Strip. The ongoing conflicts in Gaza and Ukraine have resulted in significant loss of life and widespread humanitarian crises.
