Tensions Escalate as Hezbollah Commander Killed in Israeli Strike

A senior commander from Hezbollah's elite Radwan forces, Habib Maatouk, was killed in an Israeli strike on southern Lebanon, according to Israeli military sources and local security sources.

The Israeli military revealed Maatouk was an operations unit commander for Radwan Force, responsible for operations in the Hajir region. He was killed alongside other Radwan Force fighters in a series of strikes that targeted border villages, leaving eighteen wounded.

The strike, part of ongoing tit-for-tat attacks, has increased fears of an expanded conflict, as Hezbollah and Israel exchange heavy fire across the border, resulting in significant casualties and destruction.
