Sudan's Rapid Support Forces have reached an agreement with the United Nations to initiate steps for facilitating aid delivery in regions under their control, according to a paramilitary force member who spoke to Reuters on Thursday.
However, the Sudanese army has yet to come to any such understanding with the paramilitary forces, the member added. This raises concerns about whether these aid measures can be effectively implemented without the army's participation.
The situation remains uncertain as both forces hold significant sway in different regions of Sudan, affecting the overall aid relief efforts in the country.
