Life Sentence for Husband in 2021 Kota Murder Case
A court sentenced Imran, 35, to life imprisonment for murdering his wife Rizwana in Kota, 2021. The Additional District and Sessions Judge also imposed a Rs 1.25 lakh fine on him. Rizwana was killed after seeking a divorce due to their deteriorated relationship and Imran's suspicions and violence.

A Kota court on Tuesday sentenced Imran, a 35-year-old man, to life imprisonment for the murder of his wife Rizwana in 2021.
The court, presided over by Additional District and Sessions Judge, also imposed a penalty of Rs 1.25 lakh on the convict, confirmed Additional Public Prosecutor Sapana Malhotra.
In August 2021, Rizwana's sister and niece reported the killing at Dadabari police station, stating that Imran attacked her with a knife at an E-Mitra Kiosk. The couple had a sour relationship, leading Rizwana to live separately with her three children and file for divorce.
