Five Members of Proscribed Militant Outfit Arrested in Manipur
In Thoubal district, Manipur, five members of the banned Kangleipak Communist Party (Nongdrenkhomba) were arrested by police. A kidnapped individual was rescued, and arms and ammunition were seized. Additional operations in Jiribam district led to the recovery of more weapons and ammunition following a CRPF personnel's killing.

Five members of the banned militant outfit Kangleipak Communist Party (Nongdrenkhomba) have been arrested in Manipur's Thoubal district, according to police reports.
During the operation in Khongjom Tekcham area on Monday, security forces also rescued an individual who had been kidnapped by the militants. Arms and ammunition were confiscated from the suspects.
The detainees have been identified as Konsam Rohit Singh (23), Yanglem Bikash Meitei (24), Thangjam Chanba Singh (27), Moirangthem Anand Singh (37), and Keisham Nelson Singh (28). The seizures included four 9 mm pistols, over 18 cartridges, a four-wheeler, and seven mobile phones.
In the wake of a CRPF personnel's fatality at Mongbung village in Jiribam district on Sunday, security forces conducted additional searches, recovering a carbine M1 rifle with two magazines and 342 cartridges.
