Several serving and retired bureaucrats, among them former Chief Secretary S K Joshi, testified before the Justice (retired) P C Ghose Commission on Monday, examining alleged irregularities in the Kaleshwaram project under the previous BRS regime in Telangana.
Refusing to divulge details, a retired bureaucrat told PTI that he had met the commission to discuss the Kaleshwaram project, as the matter remains sub judice.
The Kaleshwaram project faced heightened scrutiny after damage to the piers of the Medigadda Barrage was discovered last year. This issue became significant during the assembly polls. In November, the National Dam Safety Authority (NDSA) determined that the barrage was severely compromised and required complete rehabilitation.
