Delhi minister Saurabh Bharadwaj accused Lieutenant Governor V K Saxena of failing to manage the capital's law-and-order situation, which he claims has worsened since Saxena took office. This criticism follows a recent incident where a man was shot dead inside a ward at the Guru Teg Bahadur (GTB) Hospital.

Bharadwaj alleged on social media that the Delhi Police has been politically manipulated, leading to a rise in crime. He cited data from the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) showing Delhi's crime rate as the highest in India, with only 30% of cases being charge-sheeted.

The minister questioned what actions the Lieutenant Governor has taken, noting that Delhi recorded over 500 murders last year, the highest among metropolitan cities. The police confirmed that the latest victim, Riyazuddin, was undergoing treatment at GTB Hospital when he was fatally shot.
