Police conducted searches on Thursday at the premises of a businessman arrested a day earlier in connection with a case under the Official Secrets Act, officials reported. Tarun Behl was taken into custody on Wednesday for allegedly spreading misinformation with malicious intent.

According to a police official, an internal document from police headquarters was circulating in WhatsApp groups, and in 'The Sree Times' and 'Aasman' newspaper, both owned by Behl. Raids and subsequent searches were performed on properties belonging to Behl.

Authorities obtained search warrants to raid Behl's house in Channi Himmat and the International British School in Chowadhi, seizing electronic gadgets and documents during the operation. Behl has been remanded in police custody for four days.
