CPGRAMS June 2024 Report: Uttar Pradesh Tops in Grievance Receipt and Disposal

Uttar Pradesh received the maximum number of grievances in June 2024, with the number standing at 18,913. Fourteen States/UTs received more than 1,000 grievances in June 2024.

The Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG) has released the Centralized Public Grievance Redress and Monitoring System (CPGRAMS) 23rd monthly report for States/UTs for June 2024. The report provides a detailed analysis of the types and categories of public grievances and the nature of their disposal by the States/UTs.

In June 2024, States and Union Territories redressed a total of 69,940 grievances. As of June 30, 2024, the pendency of grievances received on the CPGRAMS portal stands at 195,082 across the States/UTs.

The Feedback Call Centre collected 26,552 feedback responses for States/UTs in June 2024. Of these, approximately 38% of citizens expressed satisfaction with the resolution provided.

Uttar Pradesh received the maximum number of grievances in June 2024, with the number standing at 18,913. Fourteen States/UTs received more than 1,000 grievances in June 2024. Uttar Pradesh and Assam disposed of the maximum number of grievances in June 2024, with the numbers standing at 29,708 and 4,706 respectively. Fifteen States/UTs disposed of more than 1,000 grievances in June 2024.

The report also includes the status of grants released under the Sevottam Scheme in FY 2022-23 and FY 2023-24. Over the last three financial years (2022-23, 2023-24, 2024-25), 512 training courses were completed, training approximately 16,759 officers.

Key highlights for June 2024 include:

  • Status of Public Grievances on CPGRAMS: In June 2024, 55,134 PG cases were received for States/UTs, and 69,940 PG cases were redressed. The monthly disposal in States/UTs increased from 55,940 PG cases at the end of May 2024 to 69,940 PG cases at the end of June 2024. Thirty-two States/UTs have an average closing time for grievances beyond the standard redressal time of 30 days.
  • Status of Pendency of Public Grievances on CPGRAMS: Twenty-two States/UTs have more than 1,000 pending grievances as of June 30, 2024. The pendency in States/UTs decreased from 209,582 PG cases at the end of May 2024 to 195,082 PG cases at the end of June 2024.
  • Grievance Redressal Index: This index tracks the efficiency and effectiveness of grievance redressal mechanisms across States/UTs, reflecting their commitment to addressing public grievances promptly and effectively.

This report highlights the ongoing efforts and progress in public grievance redressal across India, underscoring the commitment to improving the efficiency and responsiveness of governance.
